Are you hiding, living in denial to your past? Are you sweeping past hurts and life-altering events under the run, pretending they never happened? Many people are hiding, denying or refusing to face problems because of fear, guilt, or shame.
We may think we've dealt with the problems and traumas of the past, but then, one day, when we least expect it, something happens that triggers a memory or feeling. Then suddenly, without warning, that memory or feeling instantly throws us back into a place where old wounds of hurt, anger and resentment surface. We may believe we've gotten past the past, but infectious wounds buried alive never die.
